As someone who enjoys exploring vibrant creative spaces in Bangkok, Supples Gallery is a truly fabulous place to spend a Saturday afternoon or evening. Their current exhibition, Here for the Cake, to be running from October 25 to December 7, 2025, features the second solo show by London-based painter Natalie Savage.

Playful Still Life with Bold Energy
Natalie’s paintings vividly capture the spirit of connection and celebration through still life scenes overflowing with joyful details champagne glasses shimmering under candlelight, platters of seafood, and tumbling flowers. Her expressive colors from deep greens to luminous pinks spark emotional movement that elevates everyday moments into vibrant celebrations.
Her work in this context emphasizes the social rituals around food and dining, a subliminal analog in mind… perhaps not, to “Kin khao yang” is a common Thai phrase that means “Have you eaten yet?”
Natalie’s creativity reminds us that art, much like a good meal, is best experienced in the company of others. In expert notes to color as emotional language, Natalie’s powerful use of bold and contrasting colors conveys warmth, hope, and emotional resonance, helping her compositions breathe life and ease. Her palette is not just visual t’s a language of feeling, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and be uplifted.

Julien’s Reflection: Brightness and Connection
From my perspectives, Natalie’s inner world is bright and full of good energy that radiates to those around her and even to the passersby. Her expressive colors and perceptive brushstrokes reveal an artist who brings hope and ease to life. Without having met her, I feel as if I know her well like old friends sharing light moments in another paradigm. My mother would have adored Natalie for being down to earth and seeing the brighter side of a sometimes dull world. When people like Natalie create, art, soul, spirit, and energy are rejuvenated. One more sip of wine… and no, that wasn’t just the wine talking here’s to you, Natalie!

A Quote to Brighten Your Day
Andy Warhol famously said, “Art is what you can get away with,” and with these pop colors, Natalie’s work is a joyful celebration one can hardly resist. If you find yourself in Bangkok, visiting Supples Gallery at 361 Charoen Krung 43 to see Here for the Cake is a perfect way to immerse yourself in culture and creativity.
