Richard Koh Fine Art is pleased to present The Visual Diary, a solo exhibition by Thai artist Pik Chaichit. The exhibition will run from 21 June to 12 July 2025 at Richard Koh Fine Art Bangkok.
Working primarily with oil on canvas, Chaichit’s practice centers on the intimate relationship between the self and the objects that populate everyday life. In The Visual Diary, the artist brings together a series of paintings that capture deeply personal yet universally resonant moments each image of a meditation on the familiar, the overlooked, and the emotionally charged.
From plates, spoons, and forks to neighborhood animals, household materials, and self-planted trees, Chaichit’s subjects are drawn directly from his surroundings. These everyday objects often unnoticed or dismissed are portrayed with a reverence that invites viewers to reconsider their environments. Through his deliberate attention and emotional sensitivity, the artist explores how ordinary things can hold extraordinary meaning.
Each work in the exhibition reflects a moment where sight and sentiment converge, transforming mundane visuals into poignant reflections. With a gentle, reflective tone, Chaichit’s paintings encourage viewers to re-engage with their surroundings, finding value in the small, quiet details of daily life.
The Visual Diary invites us to pause, reflect, and see the world anew—one image at a time.
About the artist:
PIK CHAICHIT recently graduated from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts, majoring in Painting at Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Although he does not have extensive experience in the art field, he is wholeheartedly striving toward his dream of becoming a good artist.
