Bangkok’s oldest and perhaps best known Mexican restaurant is a recommended eatery and bar that should not be missed by any expat resident or visiting tourist. A place with delicious food benediction, an inviting menu, vibrant atmosphere, effortless seating, happy interiors, refreshingly iced margaritas and perhaps 25 years of restaurant management practice.
Here’s a review on TripAdvisor about Charley Brown’s Mexican Cantina, shared in December 2018 and we’d be happy to highlight because we can’t agree more:
“I love this place… Well, of
course i love their happy hour
I mean,half price margaritas…..
Heaven.
But the food…..
Food is amazing.
Sopa de tortillasis one of my favorites
Pulled pork just amazing
Churros? Wonderful
Really everything is good here
Andi need to say it,i love chef Primo
He’s so charming and he always finds time to have a talk with his guests
Absolutely one of my favorite places in Bangkok”

Besides the authentic and deliciously classic all-time Mexican favorites, Charley Brown’s also serves vegetarian dishes, vegan options, gluten-free choices
Time to reserve your table perhaps? We prefer the dinner visits … after work, although the restaurant is also open for lunch and late-night orders, with the last order reserved for a bit before 11:00pm. A definite choice-of-outing for individual diners, couples, a small group of friends or even bigger parties.
The new location is on Sukhumvit 19, very close to the Asoke junction, 30 meters into the road which stretches in along the side of the Westin Hotel, Charley Brown’s is on the very first corner left, (there’s an indicative signboard before the turn), inside the sub-Soi, in a clean and quiet part of the Soi, at the ground floor of the iCheck inn Hotel to be more precise.
Sabor Mexicano Real!
Our personal experience was of laughter and untainted food joy! The interior colors, the sizzling fajitas, the quesadillas
